France defender Raphael Varane has admitted that he is eager to play in Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against Spain.
The 19-year-old made his senior international debut on Friday when Les Bleus defeated Georgia 3-1 at Stade de France.
If Varane is selected to play against the world champions in midweek, then he is likely to come up against a number of his Real Madrid teammates.
"I hope to play against Spain," he told Telefoot. "I exchange messages with the Spaniards. They consider us serious opponents.
"They told me they need the victory, but it is also the case for us. There will be a battle. Those really are fantastic games."
Group I leaders France come into the match in Saint-Denis two points clear of second-placed Spain.
