Georgia managed to pull off a shock result on Friday evening by holding France to a 0-0 draw in Tbilisi.
It was no surprise to see the visitors take control of the match early on, but it was a sign of things to come when both Franck Ribery and Josua Guilavogui missed good chances from inside the box.
Karim Benzema was clearly a worry for the Georgian defence but he failed to make the hosts pay after collecting a loose ball inside the box as he dragged his shot wide of the target.
France continued to look dangerous in the early stages of the second half but their disappointment grew when Benzema headed over from a great position.
Georgia almost punished their opponents when Tornike Okriashvili was gifted too much space but Hugo Lloris responded well to tip the forward's effort onto the post.
France came close to a winner in the final moments of the match but Giorgi Loria kept out a shot from Mathieu Valbuena as Georgia held on to claim a famous draw.
