Frosinone promoted to Serie A after win over Reggina

:Headline: Frosinone promoted to Serie A after win over Reggina:
Frosinone will play Serie A football again for just the third time in their history after sealing promotion from Serie B following a win over Reggina.
Sports Mole

Frosinone have confirmed their promotion to Serie A after beating Reggina 3-1 last night, extending the gap to third place to an unassailable 10 points.

Managed by one of Italy's 2006 World Cup winning heroes Fabio Grosso, Frosinone are back in the Italian top flight after their relegation in 2019.

With three games remaining of the Serie B season, the Canarini are also four points ahead of second-placed Genoa, so will now set their sights on confirming the title.

Their two previous stints in Serie A resulted in immediate relegation back to the second tier, so Frosinone will hope it is third time lucky as they look to consolidate themselves as a top-tier club.

There is almost no top-flight experience among the squad though, with Roberto Insigne one of the few to have played in Serie A during spells with Napoli and Benevento.

Elsewhere in Serie B, Genoa are big favourites to also go up automatically along with Frosinone, while recently-promoted Sudtirol are hoping to go back-to-back via the playoffs.

Bari are looking to make a long-awaited return to Serie A, while Cagliari and Venezia also have opportunities to bounce straight back.
