Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has attempted to ease the pressure on Ryan Sessegnon ahead of the second leg of the Championship playoff tie with Derby County.
Sessegnon has enjoyed a stellar campaign with the Cottagers, contributing 15 goals and six assists in 47 appearances, but the 17-year-old has struggled to make an impact in his last two games.
However, Jokanovic has suggested that the youngster should not have to play under the restrictions of pressure due to his lack of experience in senior football.
The 49-year-old is quoted by The Telegraph as saying: "He has a really bright future in front of him, not only for Fulham but probably for England in the future or even immediately.
"Ryan needs the help from people around him and this kid doesn't need any pressure. He's only 17 and to talk about our possibilities on the back of one kid is not right. He's shown many times that he is a great lad, great footballer and great worker. We trust he'll be at his best level."
Fulham head into the second leg against Derby facing a 1-0 deficit.
