Jordan Rhodes and Ben Marshall were on target as Blackburn Rovers beat Fulham 2-1 at Ewood Park in the Championship this afternoon.
Ross McCormack reduced the deficit in the second half, but the visitors were unable to force an equaliser as Rovers took the points.
Luke Steele made a smart save to deny Tom Richards after smart build-up play from Hugo Rodallega and McCormack, and the home side took the lead moments later.
Marshall made the most of some indecision in the defence to steal the ball and rifle past Marcus Bettinelli after 12 minutes, for his seventh goal of the season.
McCormack spurned a decent opening on the edge of the box when he blazed over the bar before the half-hour mark.
Craig Conway came close to doubling Blackburn's advantage when he was teed up by Rhodes, but his curling shot could only find the post.
Conway then turned provider and his cross was met by Chris Brown, who headed into the side-netting shortly before the half-time whistle.
After the break, Rodallega spurned a decent opening when he headed straight at Steele and the visitors were made to pay for the miss.
Rhodes made it 2-0 to the home side when he powered home a header from Marcus Olsson's cross for his 10th goal of the campaign.
However, McCormack made it five goals in as many games when he converted at Blackburn's back post five minutes later to breathe life back into the game for Fulham.
Good work out wide from Marshall presented Brown with a good chance, but his header was saved by Bettinelli with just over 10 minutes remaining and Fulham spent most of it on the back foot as they failed to find an equaliser.
