FC Twente chairman Joop Munsterman has revealed that the club have not received a bid from Fulham for defender Douglas.
Fulham are one of a number of clubs linked with a move for the Brazilian-born centre-back, including Newcastle United.
Munsterman has said that he is determined to keep the 24-year-old in Holland this season.
He said: "It's absolutely not true about Fulham, we didn't receive a bid at all.
"The media are writing that we want to sell Douglas because he's out of contract in a year, but that's not true.
"To us it's not about losing a player on a free agent, but what the result is after we've paid agents and such."
Douglas will receive Dutch citizenship on August 26 and has been picked by Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal for their opening World Cup qualifier against Turkey in September.
