Galatasaray have claimed a record 20th Super Lig title to become the Turkish champions for the third time in the past four seasons.
They had earned a 2-0 victory over their fierce rivals Besiktas at the weekend, meaning that Fenerbahce had to beat Istanbul Basaksehir in their clash this evening.
However, the defending champions could only manage a 2-2 draw, despite fighting back from two goals down having had four players sent off.
The title victory is a first for Galatasaray manager Hamza Hamzaoglu, who only took charge of the club last November following the departure of Cesare Prandelli.
