Galatasaray have announced the departure of manager Roberto Mancini after just nine months with the Turkish side.
A matter of days ago, the former Manchester City boss revealed that he wanted to stay at Galatasaray, despite admitting that he missed his homeland of Italy.
However, it has now been confirmed by the club that Mancini, who was appointed in September last year, has departed after guiding the team to the Turkish Cup and a second-place finish in the Super Lig.
The 49-year-old moved to the club after getting sacked by Man City following their FA Cup final defeat to Wigan Athletic last year.
