Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande have reportedly made a £4m offer for Genoa forward Alberto Gilardino.
The 32-year-old, who has been with Genoa since 2012, has represented the likes of AC Milan and Fiorentina during a glittering playing career in Serie A.
According to various reports in Italy, Guangzhou, who are managed by former Italy boss Marcelo Lippi, are confident of securing a deal for the striker after making an initial £4m offer.
It is also understood that the Chinese side are prepared to match Gilardino's current wages on a two-year contract.
Gilardino has scored 19 times in 57 games for Italy.
