Temuri Ketsbaia has resigned as manager of Georgia following the team's 4-0 defeat to Poland in Euro 2016 qualifying.
The former Newcastle United striker claimed before the match that he was already planning to leave his post, regardless of the result.
Ketsbaia took charge of Georgia back in 2009 after spells in Cyprus and Greece.
"I have already spoken at full length recently so I have nothing new to say," he told UEFA's official website. "Unfortunately my tenure with the national side has ended in a sad manner. From now on I will be supporting the team as an ordinary fan."
Ketsbaia scored 16 goals in 49 games for Georgia during his playing career.
