A plucky performance from Georgia has helped them go into the break of their Euro 2016 qualifier against Poland this evening with the score at 0-0.
Poland took control of the game early on as expected and saw a lot of the ball during the opening exchanges.
The away side hit the post twice in quick succession through Arkadiusz Milik and Kamil Grosicki, before Sebastian Mila fired over with an effort from distance.
Georgia gave a good account of themselves throughout the half, however, and were unlucky not to score after weathering the initial storm.
First, Jaba Kankava blasted over the bar before Aleksandr Kobakhidze sliced wide following good play from Murtaz Daushvili.
Kobakhidze was then presented with a great chance to give his side the lead following a goalmouth scramble from a corner, but he lashed at the ball from six yards and the opportunity was wasted.
