Germany manager Joachim Low has admitted that he never feared that Germany would be knocked out of Euro 2012, despite a nervy half an hour against Denmark.
The Germans topped Group B following a 2-1 victory over the Danes last night but it could have been a different story after their opponents equalised in the second half, needing just one goal to knock one of the tournament favourites out of the competition.
"I had a plan," said Low. "Of course I had considered what would have happened if Denmark had in some way suddenly scored a goal but I never had that feeling.
"I was pretty relaxed because it doesn't get you anywhere when you panic. Bastian Schweinsteiger and Sami Khedira were always in control and I just had the feeling we would score."
Germany will face surprise qualifiers Greece in the quarter-finals next week.
