German forward Lukas Podolski has said that he and his teammates still have a lot of work to do before Euro 2012.
Podolski, whose side were expected to beat Switzerland at St Jakob Park, was on the losing end of a 5-3 defeat despite goals from Mats Hummels, Andre Schurrle and Marco Reus.
"We have to be prepared to take some criticism. That is normal after such a game," he told Goal.com.
"Sure, such a loss hurts but we go forward. We're not where we want to be. We've got a lot of work to do. Our plan is to be fit for the first match."
Joachim Low's side face Israel next week in their final fixture before the tournament begins.
