Robbie Savage believes that Germany have enough quality and strength to defeat the reigning Euro 2012 champions Spain if both teams make it to the final.
Many have tipped the Spaniards to retain their trophy, however Germany's form so far in the tournament has pushed them to the top of the bookmakers' lists to become the new champions of Europe.
"It think [Spain against Germany] will be the final," BBC Sport quotes Savage as saying. "This tournament has been a good tournament without there being an outstanding team.
"Against Greece, Germany were sometimes sloppy in giving the ball away cheaply, but Spain and Germany are the only two teams who have gone for it in every game in terms of possession.
"They're the two best teams, but both sides have their flaws and weaknesses. It would be a worthy final, and I think the Germans will win it. They're big, strong and powerful. They've got players on top of their form in [Mesut] Ozil, [Mario] Gomez, [Bastian] Schweinsteiger, and have a recognised striker who's banging in the goals."
In order for a Spain against Germany final to come to fruition, the Germans will have to overcome Italy in the semi-final on Thursday the day after Spain take on Portugal.
