Germany move onto 10 points in Group D with a 2-0 win over Georgia in their Euro 2016 qualifier on Sunday.

Marco Reus and Thomas Muller both registered as Germany recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Georgia in their Euro 2016 qualifier on Sunday.

Germany had an excellent opportunity to open the scoring after just five minutes of the Group D clash through Reus, but the Borussia Dortmund forward was denied by a smart save from Giorgi Loria, who tipped Reus's effort onto the crossbar.

Aleksandre Kobakhidze then fired wide for Georgia after 12 minutes, but less than one minute later, the away side had a glorious chance through Muller, who missed the target from inside the box.

Germany had to wait until the 26th minute to create another chance of note and they could not take it as Mario Gotze slotted wide, before Reus followed suit moments later.

The away side scored twice in the final six minutes of the first half, however, with Reus sliding home from close range, before Muller collected an excellent pass from Mesut Ozil and finished into the bottom corner.

Ucha Lobzhanidze had a good opening for the home side after 52 minutes, but the defender fired over the crossbar from close range as Germany remained in control of proceedings.

Reus had a wonderful chance to score his second of the night just past the hour, but for the second time in Georgia, the attacker was denied by the woodwork.

The visitors remained in control as the second period developed, but chances were at a premium as Georgia settled into a defensive shape in front of their own supporters.

Reus had another half-chance 15 minutes from time, but the attacker's free kick curled straight into the arms of Loria, who managed to keep a clean sheet in the second period despite a late attempt from Ozil.
