How Germany could line up against Denmark

:Headline: How Germany could line up against Denmark:
Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Germany could line up for their International Friendlies clash with Denmark on Wednesday.

Germany host European neighbours Denmark this week in the first of two international friendlies that will see Joachim Low prepare his side for their European Championship opener against world champions France.

For this tie, Low will be without the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Antonio Rudiger and Ilkay Gundogan, who are yet to link up with the squad due to their exploits in the Champions League Final.

Despite challenges from the likes of Arsenal's Bernd Leno and Eintracht Frankfurt's Kevin Trapp, Manuel Neuer looks all set to retain his spot between the sticks for the national team this summer.

The 35-year-old Bayern Munich legend played 33 times in the Bundesliga last season, picking up nine clean sheets and conceding 42 goals in total.

Germany's recent World Cup qualifiers have seen RB Leipzig's Lukas Klostermann emerge as a real contender at right-back, and Low may well give the 24-year-old another run out on Wednesday evening.

With 38 Germany caps to his name, Borussia Monchengladbach's Matthias Ginter has cemented his credentials as a reliable centre-back and the defender's form has even piqued the interest of clubs like Tottenham and Inter Milan.

Following his two-year exile from the national team, Borussia Dortmund stalwart Mats Hummels was recalled by Low for the upcoming Euros.

Hummels - who was part of the team that won the World Cup in 2014 - brings a winning mentality to the side and great cover for the likes of Rudiger and Ginter.

Versatile utility man Emre Can has been operating at left-back for Low in recent national team performances and could well start at the back for Germany this week.

In midfield, Bayern Munich's Leon Goretzka is one player that could benefit from the absence of Havertz and Gundogan this week, with the 26-year-old undoubtedly keen to prove his worth to Low.

Joshua Kimmich is quickly becoming one of Germany's brightest prospects and his form will be vital to the team's success this summer.

Germany's attack could be composed of Serge Gnabry, Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane, all of whom will have to contend for places with Werner and Havertz when the Chelsea contingent meet up with the squad.

Gnabry has risen to the occasion well for Germany in recent months, with the Bayern Munich attacker scoring the winner in the team's 1-0 victory over Romania in World Cup qualification.

Given his decade-long stint in the national team, it is easy to forget that Muller is just 31 years old and still has plenty to offer both Bayern Munich and Germany.

In a squad full of youth and promise, Muller could add the much-needed experience and grit to Low's messy cocktail.

Germany possible starting lineup: Neuer; Klostermann, Ginter, Hummels, Can; Goretzka, Kimmich, Kroos; Gnabry, Muller, Sane body check tags ::
