Germany have beaten Russia 2-1 in their final Group B match at the Under-21 European Championship in Israel.
Both sides went into the match knowing that they had no chance of qualifying for the semi-finals of the tournament.
Alan Dzagoev fired the Russians into a 22nd-minute lead before Patrick Herrmann tapped in from close range to level the match 10 minutes before the break.
There was a red card with five minutes to play in the half when Russia's Georgi Schennikov was dismissed for a late challenge on Tony Jantschke.
The winning goal came in the 68th minute through Sebastian Rudy's powerful penalty after Taras Burlak had brought down Herrmann inside the area.
