Germany and Russia have ended the first half level at 1-1 in their Group B clash at the Under-21 European Championship in Israel.
The two sides started the match at the Netanya Municipal Stadium unable to qualify for the semi-finals of the competition.
Germany had the best of the opening stages but they fell behind on 22 minutes when Alan Dzagoev exchanged passes with Shota Bibilov before hammering the ball into the bottom corner.
However, it was all square with 10 minutes left to play in the half as Patrick Herrmann tapped in Kevin Volland's cross from close range.
The Russians were reduced to 10 men in the 39th minute when Georgi Schennikov was shown a straight red card for a late challenge on Tony Jantschke.
