Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Patrick Herrmann will make his debut for Germany in this evening's friendly international against the USA.
The 24-year-old enjoyed an impressive season and helped his club to a third-place finish in the Bundesliga and qualification for the Champions League.
He will join Bastian Schweinsteiger, Mesut Ozil, Andre Schurrle and Ilkay Gundogan in the midfield, with Mario Gotze leading the attack.
There is also a rare start in goal for Ron-Robert Zieler, as Manuel Neuer has been rested for the Euro 2016 qualifier against Gibraltar at the weekend.
Meanwhile, Juan Agudelo and Aron Johannsson have been chosen to lead the attack for the visitors, who recorded a 4-3 victory over the Netherlands last week.
