Germany's veteran striker Miroslav Klose has revealed that he is hoping to represent his country at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Lazio frontman was part of the German squad that was knocked out of Euro 2012 at the semi-final stage by Italy on Thursday evening.
Having never won anything at international level, the 34-year-old is determined to have one more go at helping his nation to glory.
"At this point, I [was] hoping to win the European Championship," he told Bild. "I just have to dispose of the disappointment at the European Championship.
"I will not stop, right now I think I will play two more years with the national team. One goal is already the 2014 World Cup.
"But I've decided for myself: I play at the European Championship and see what happens. But, if I stay fit and healthy, there is nothing in the way of the World Cup."
Klose has made 121 appearances for Germany.
