Manuel Neuer has claimed that it was the work ethic of the whole squad which was the key factor behind Germany's World Cup success.
A fourth title was secured on Sunday night thanks to a 1-0 victory over Argentina in extra time, and Neuer followed the example of Philipp Lahm by paying tribute to each member of Joachim Low's group.
"It's unbelievable," the Bayern Munich goalkeeper told members of the media. "All of Germany is world champions now.
"All those who didn't play brought such togetherness into the team, that's why we won the World Cup.
"We're going to celebrate for at least five weeks now. At some point we'll stop celebrating but we'll always keep waking up with a smile."
Neuer was recognised for his displays at the tournament with the Golden Glove award.
