Germany and Ghana played out an entertaining 2-2 draw on Saturday night to ensure that things will go down to the last day in Group G.

Here, Sports Mole summarises the performances of the players to see who impressed and who did not.

Goal

Manuel Neuer: Did not have a great deal to do other than deal with shots from range. Did not have a chance for either goal, but was a little risky coming off his line as he likes to do. (7/10)

Defence

Benedikt Howedes: Being a centre-back played on the left, he did not get forward too often and was also sold a bit too easily on the dummy. Was not one of the game's better performers. (6/10)

Mats Hummels: Surprisingly recovered from injury to play the full game. Made a few key interceptions and was the better of the two German centre-backs. (7/10)

Per Mertesacker: Was the man tasked with keeping an eye on Asamoah Gyan, but lost him on a couple of occasions including for the goal. He has certainly played better for his country. (6/10)

Jerome Boateng: Was fairly quiet in the first half before being substituted. Did not get forward at all, although was solid enough at the back to keep his brother in check. (7/10)

Midfield

Philipp Lahm: Once again the captain failed to impress in a midfield role for his country. Was guilty of losing the ball on too many occasions, one of which directly resulted in Ghana's second goal. (5/10)

Sami Khedira: Just about got the better of the Ghanaian midfielders and passed tidily, but did not offer much support to the more attacking minded Toni Kroos. (6/10)

Toni Kroos: Was once again good with his delivery and roamed a bit more than he did against Portugal. Overall a strong performance from the Bayern Munich man. (7/10)

Mesut Ozil: Kept fairly quiet again, particularly in the first half. Got in behind once or twice after the break, but never really looked completely threatening. (6/10)

Thomas Muller: Did not get the goal that everyone expected him to, but provided a fine assist for Mario Gotze's opener and was definitely one of the better players on the pitch. (8/10)

Attack

Mario Gotze: Was one of the game's better players in the first half but, despite the goal, faded after the break and was eventually subbed off for the match-saver Miroslav Klose. (7/10)

Substitutes

Shkodran Mustafi: Came on for Boateng at the break and immediately showed more attacking threat. Struggled to deal with Jordan Ayew, however, when the Ghana man came off the bench. (6/10)

Bastian Schweinsteiger: Passed tidily when he came on, but his introduction did not quite have the desired impact. Had a couple of efforts at goal, but both were wayward. (6/10)

Miroslav Klose: Had an immediate impact by poking in at the far post from a corner just a minute after coming on. He did miss a glorious chance later on, however, to better Ronaldo's World Cup goalscoring record. (7/10)

GHANA

Goal

Fatau Dauda: Was very composed for much of the game, and was alert to a few shots from range form Germany. Might have commanded slightly better on a few crosses, but cannot be blamed for either goal. (7/10)

Defence

Harrison Afful: Dealt reasonably well with the fluid front three of Germany and was a good outlet going forward. It was his excellent cross that Andre Ayew equalised from. (7/10)

Jonathan Mensah: Formed a good partnership with John Boye at the heart of the defence, and pulled off some excellent last-ditch blocks and clearances. (7/10)

John Boye: Was the standout defender in the Ghana team. Won a lot of headers and positioned himself really well alongside Mensah. Did not put a foot wrong. (8/10)

Kwadwo Asamoah: This was a much better performance from the Juventus man. Was up and down the flank, but his biggest impact was the brilliant saving tackle at 2-2 to stop Muller scoring the winner. (7/10)

Midfield

Mohammed Rabiu: Was not the most composed in midfield and gave the ball away a few times, but was certainly not overawed by the German midfield. (6/10)

Sulley Muntari: Always keen for a shot from range, but had the wrong boots on and did not come close. Started quite a few attacks dropping off the midfield, but did not make much impact with his passing. (7/10)

Kevin-Prince Boateng: Not his usual swashbuckling self. He came off early in the second half having been unable to make much impact at all up against his brother Jerome. (5/10)

Christian Atsu: Made one or two pacey runs, particularly in the second half, but overall did not cause too much threat before being subbed. (6/10)

Attack

Andre Ayew: A very good performance leading the line, and added to his goal against the USA with a really good headed effort from a right-wing cross. Took on a couple of shots when he might have passed. (8/10)

Asamoah Gyan: Probably his side's best player. Took his goal superbly well and was always in the right place for passes. Not his fault that his teammates could not always find him. (8/10)

Substitutes

Jordan Ayew: Was one of the players to really make a difference when he came on. Always a willing runner, but was too selfish on a couple of occasions, which brings down his overall rating. (7/10)

Mubarak Wakaso: Did not have too long to have an impact, but the Ghana midfield looked better with him on the pitch, so was a good replacement. (6/10)
