Getafe midfielder Jaime Gavilan has admitted that his side 'must remain united' if they are to overcome a poor run of form in La Liga.
The capital outfit have lost six of their last eight matches in the league and have not collected all three points since the end of November.
However, Gavilan believes that Sunday's clash with Real Madrid is the perfect chance for the team to overcome their slump.
"If you look at the first half of the season, or the majority of the season so far, we were looking up towards the European places," he told reporters.
"It's only natural that after going so long without winning, we end up in the situation were in now. We have to wipe the slate clean and start afresh. We're now four points above the relegation zone, we're stuck in the mud and we have to get out of there however we can."
"All of us together, united, we believe in this squad. What better way to push ahead than to win on Sunday, or at least get a point."
Getafe sit 13th in La Liga, but are just four points outside of the bottom three.
