Ghana have booked their place in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-0 win over Cape Verde.
The island nation looked the stronger of the two teams in the opening half, but neither side were able to break the deadlock in the first 45 minutes.
Heldon had a good chance to put Cape Verde in front after collecting the ball from Julio Tavares, but his shot flew well high of the crossbar.
The Black Stars were awarded a penalty shortly after the restart when Asamoah Gyan was brought down in the box, Mubarak Wakaso blasting the ball in to the centre of the goal.
Cape Verde pushed hard for an equaliser, even bringing their keeper up for a corner in the 90th minute of the game.
However, Ghana cleared the corner and Vozinha could not get back to his goal in time, allowing Wakaso to roll in his second of the game.
Ghana will face either Burkina Faso or Togo in the last four of the tournament.
