The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reportedly requested that police investigate two people on suspicion of match fixing.
It comes after an undercover investigation by The Telegraph and Channel Four's Dispatches programme allegedly found that the president of Ghana's Football Association agreed for the team to take part in international matches that others were prepared to rig.
The matches are not believed to be at the World Cup.
A statement from the Ghana Football Association read: "We wish to assure the public that we will not tolerate such misrepresentations and we will seek strong sanctions against such individuals if such claims are found to be true."
Ghana will play Portugal on Thursday at the Estadio Nacional in Brasilia.
