Go Ahead Eagles have picked up their first win in seven games courtesy of a dramatic late comeback victory over FC Utrecht this evening.
Anouar Kali fired away the game's first shot from 18 yards out, but Erik Cummins was equal to his effort to deny the Dutch midfielder.
The hosts made the breakthrough four minutes into the second half when Gyrano Kerk converted Rubio Rubin's cross, while the American was involved again shortly after to set up Ruud Boymans, who doubled his side's advantage.
Deniz Turuc began GAE's fightback three minutes later when he found the net, although the two-goal advantage was almost retained when Tommy Oar struck the post from his free kick.
The Eagles did manage to find an equaliser 16 minutes from time, however, when Bart Vriends converted from close range to seemingly rescue a point for the visitors.
But Go Ahead Eagles were not finished there, and in the fourth minute of added time Jeffrey Rijsdijk struck to dramatically win the game for his side at the death.
Foeke Booy's side move three points clear of the drop zone with the victory, while Utrecht drop down to 11th place in the Eredivisie table.
