Granada have missed the chance to end their eight-game winless run in La Liga after being held to a goalless draw by 10-man Almeria this evening.
Youseff El Arabi came close early on for the hosts, but his header was kept out by Ruben.
Midway through the first half El Arabi had another headed opportunity, but again he was denied by the keeper.
It took Almeria until just past the half-hour mark to create their best chance, but Fernando Soriano put his header wide of the post.
Piti and Ruben Rochina then had efforts saved by Ruben as the hosts continued to dominate the match.
Almeria's hopes of taking something from the game took a blow eight minutes into the second half as Ramon Azeez was sent off for picking up his second booking.
From then on it was one-way traffic and Jhon Cordoba and Success Isaac both put chances over the bar.
However, Granada were unable to make the breakthrough, despite recording over 20 shots on goal, and in the end they had to settle for a point.
