Championship outfit Watford have signed Granada midfielder Iriney Santos on a season-long loan.
The 32-year-old has played for Rayo Vallecano, Celta Vigo, Real Betis and Almeria during a 10-year career in Spain.
A number of European outfits had been linked with his services this summer, but Watford have moved quickly to secure his signature ahead of their Championship campaign.
Watford made it to the final of the Championship playoffs last season, but a Kevin Phillips penalty sent Crystal Palace into the Premier League.
