St Johnstone have progressed to the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup after coming from a goal down to win 3-1 away at Greenock Morton this evening.
The hosts shocked their Scottish Premiership opponents by taking the lead seven minutes into the second half through Denny Johnstone, who slammed the ball home from close range following Conor Pepper's low cross.
However, the lead lasted just 10 minutes as Steven MacLean equalised from the penalty spot after Simon Lappin's corner was handled inside the area.
Two minutes later, the visitors took the lead through Michael O'Halloran, who fired a low shot into the far corner after a mazy run.
Chris Kane ensured that St Johnstone made their way through to the semi-finals by thundering a strike into the roof of the net from O'Halloran's pass with eight minutes remaining.
