Hannover have returned to winning ways in the Bundesliga with a 2-0 victory over second-from-bottom Greuther Furth at home.
Mame Biram Diouf scored for the home side as early as the fourth minute when he tucked in a rebound after Max Grun had kept out Didier Ya Konan's effort.
Diouf then set up Sergio Pinto after getting past four Furth players, but the latter failed to keep his shot on target.
The Senegalese striker almost made it 2-0 to Hannover just three minutes into the second half when he saw his header crash against the Furth crossbar.
The 24-year-old had a goal ruled out for offside as well in the second half.
Hannover eventually doubled their advantage in the 69th minute when Mario Eggimann headed home Jan Schlaudraff's delivery.
