National League side Hartlepool have appointed Richard Money as their new manager.
The 63-year-old, a European Cup winner with Liverpool as a player, replaces Matthew Bates who lost his job a fortnight ago.
Money, who has enjoyed managerial success with Walsall and Cambridge, last worked at Solihull Moors for a brief spell in 2017.
“It has been a detailed and necessarily difficult process because we have been inundated with applications from some exceptional candidates, so we have left nothing to chance by applying a professional approach to our recruitment,” chairman Raj Singh said.
Money inherits a side sitting 13th in the National League, eight points off the play-off places.
Aside from holding a number of managerial roles during his career, Money has worked as an academy director at Newcastle, Atlanta United and Norwich.
