Jack Compton to leave Hartlepool United in summer

Hartlepool United winger Jack Compton confirms that he will leave the club in the summer.

Hartlepool United winger Jack Compton has revealed that he will leave the club at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old has made the decision in order to be closer to his family.

Compton joined the League Two side in 2013 following a brief spell with Colchester United.

"Want to thank everyone for all the amazing messages," he tweeted. "Really enjoyed my time at @Official-HUFC. Family is the reason I'm leaving."

Hartlepool secured their Football League status on Saturday with a victory over Exeter City.
