Grimsby Town defender Carl Magnay has completed a move to Hartlepool United.
The Gateshead-born full-back spent last season with the Mariners, who were recently beaten in the final of the Conference Premier playoffs.
"I'm moving back to the North East to be with my family. Hartlepool train in Durham. Wish everyone at @officialgtfc all the very best," the 26-year-old wrote on Twitter this afternoon.
Magnay started his career with Leeds United, before he earned himself a contract with Chelsea via the Sky One show Football Icon. He has also had spells with MK Dons, Northampton Town and his hometown club Gateshead.
