Former Real Madrid midfielder Guti has revealed that he turned down a move to join Argentinian club River Plate.
The 35-year-old recently announced his retirement after failing to agree a deal with West Ham United.
"I'm not going to play for River, and, honestly, I don't want to play in Argentina," he told reporters. "But I'm grateful for the interest."
The Spaniard played over 400 games for Madrid before he left for Besiktas in 2010.
