A second-half strike from Bryan Linssen was enough to guide Heracles to a 1-0 victory over Go Ahead Eagles on the final day of the Eredivsie season.
Neither side could find a breakthrough in the first 45 minutes as both were resilient in defence, despite the visitors dominance of possession.
However, four minutes into the second half, Linssen fired the home side ahead with a powerful strike into the bottom corner which gave Erik Cummins no chance.
Go Ahead pushed to get a leveller late in the game, but were unable to break down the home side's defence as they held out to secure the three points.
Heracles finished the season in 14th place, while the result means that Go Ahead will play De Graafschap in the relegation playoffs.
