Heracles have moved closer to safety in the Eredivisie table courtesy of a 3-1 victory over fellow strugglers ADO Den Haag this afternoon.
The hosts had to do it the hard way at the Polman Stadion after falling a goal behind inside the opening 10 minutes courtesy of Mathias Gehrt's strike.
A fine attacking move shortly after the half-hour mark saw Heracles draw level, however, with Oussama Tannane finishing off the move.
It looked as though the teams would go into the interval all square, although Heracles had different ideas.
First Thomas Bruns put the ball beyond Martin Hansen, before Tannane added his second of the afternoon on the brink of half time to extend his side's advantage.
Den Haag, who are just three points above the drop zone following this loss, pushed for a route back into the game following the restart, but were unable to find the net.
Meanwhile, Heracles are still camped inside the bottom three, but they are now just four points from safety.
