Jason Cummings scored his first goal for Hibernian shortly before half time to give the side a 1-0 lead over Hamilton Academical in the first leg of the Scottish Premiership playoff final.
The home side dominated the possession inside the opening 10 minutes, but it was Hibernian who had the first shot of the match when Scott Robertson unleashed a strike from outside the box, but it was kept out by the post.
James Keatings had the first effort of the night for Hamilton as he tried to head in from a corner, but his finish was a fraction too high.
Keatings continued to pose a threat for the hosts as the half progressed, while Mickael Antoine-Curier also had a chance to break the deadlock, but could only slice the ball high from close range.
It was Hibernian who took the lead though shortly before the break when the ball fell to 18-year-old Cummings on the edge of the box, who volleyed the ball past a stretching Kevin Cuthbert to score his first goal for the club.
