Aberdeen held out for a 0-0 draw against Hibernian at the Easter Road this afternoon to remain above their opponents in the Scottish Premier League table.
The hosts were the first to really test the opposition keeper in the 24th minute when Leigh Griffiths found space to shoot from inside the box, but Jamie Langfield was equal to the effort.
Griffiths had another chance shortly after, but this time he couldn't hit the target as his right-footed shot drifted wide.
Griffiths was again involved in Hibs's next big chance, which came just one minute after the restart. The striker played the ball across to Daniel Handling, but his effort was saved by Langfield.
The hosts were inches away from breaking the deadlock in the 54th minute when Owen Doyle let fly, only to see his strike come back off the post.
Paul Hanlon was the next to come close for the hosts, latching onto Griffiths's corner to send a header goalwards, but it was cleared off the line.
Griffiths was again denied by Langfield five minutes before the final whistle when the Aberdeen keeper made a fine save from the striker's powerful effort.
