Celtic slipped to their fourth defeat of the season at Easter Road thanks to a spirited display by Hibernian this afternoon.
Pat Fenlon's side made a bright start to the match and were rewarded with the breakthrough after nine minutes.
Leigh Griffiths got the goal when the young striker reacted quicker than Thomas Rogne and slotted past Fraser Forster.
Gary Hooper thought that he had come close to an instant response but his shot was touched onto the post by Ben Williams before offside was given against the English striker.
Griffiths was then inches away from doubling his tally after coming close to making contact with Eoin Doyle's drive across goal.
Doyle was next to go close as Celtic continued to struggle at the back as he stayed strong under pressure before firing over.
Paddy McCourt came on with 25 minutes to go as Neil Lennon tried to find an equaliser but the Hibs backline defended doggedly.
Celtic game agonisingly close to securing a late point but Hooper and Efe Ambrose were denied by a pair of saves from an inspired Williams.
