New Huddersfield boss Siewert is the Premier League's fourth German manager.

Premier League strugglers Huddersfield have appointed German coach Jan Siewert as their new manager on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

The 36-year-old replaces compatriot David Wagner at the John Smith's Stadium, with the relegation-threatened Terriers bottom of the table and 10 points from safety.

Here, Press Association Sport looks at the other German coaches to have managed in England's top-flight.

Felix Magath (Fulham, 2014)

Former Bayern Munich boss Magath was the Premier League's first German manager, although the appointment, on an 18-month contract in February 2014, was far from successful. He failed to save Fulham from relegation to the Championship and departed Craven Cottage after just seven months with the club bottom of the second tier on a single point after seven games of the 2014-15 season. A three-time Bundesliga winner as a manager, Magath won only three of his 19 league matches in charge of the Cottagers, losing 12.

Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool, 2015–present)

Klopp is on course to end Liverpool's 29-year wait for a top-flight title. The table-topping Reds, who finished fourth in each of Klopp's first two full seasons in charge, sit four points clear of champions Manchester City with 15 games remaining. Appointed to replace Brendan Rodgers at Anfield in October 2015, the 51-year-old former Borussia Dortmund manager has imposed his high-intensity pressing style on the Merseyside club to great effect and guided them to the 2016 Europa League final and last season's Champions League final. He has managed 129 top-flight games, winning 75 and losing 20.

David Wagner (Huddersfield, 2017–2019)

Wagner followed close friend Klopp from Dortmund to England, leaving Borussia Dortmund's second team to replace Chris Powell as Huddersfield boss in November 2015. The following season, he impressively defied expectations by guiding the Terriers back to England's top division for the first time since 1972 via the Championship play-offs. The 47-year-old backed up the unexpected promotion by staving off top-flight relegation, finishing four points above the bottom three. This season proved more difficult and he collected just two wins from 22 games before departing by mutual consent on January 14.
