Two teams now all but safe from relegation will go head to head when Huddersfield Town host Bolton Wanderers at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday.
Just one point separates the two sides in the table, with Huddersfield sitting in 16th place and Bolton one spot below, 10 points clear of the relegation zone.
Charlton Athletic and Barnsley both have games in hand over the teams above them, making the positions of Huddersfield and Bolton slightly more precarious than on first viewing, but it would take a remarkable set of results for either side to be dragged into the mire at this stage of the season.
Indeed, Huddersfield's main aim now will be to finished top of the mini-Yorkshire table that is developing, with Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds United and Town sitting in 14th, 15th and 16th respectively.
Their form has been poor recently, however, going six matches without a win having begun March in the best possible way with a 5-0 victory over another Yorkshire rival Barnsley.
While manager Mark Robins has insisted that his side are not yet safe from the drop, they can afford to let one eye drift onto preparations for next season now.
Robins has fitness concerns over Keith Southern and top scorer James Vaughan, while Jon Stead and Joel Lynch are still sidelined.
Bolton, meanwhile, have picked up points on a regular enough basis to lift them away from the immediate danger of the relegation zone in recent weeks.
The Trotters have only managed one win in their last five outings, but have also only been beaten once in their last nine, including taking points off the likes of Derby County and Wigan Athletic.
Dougie Freedman's side have not been beaten in their last four games on the road, with three draws accompanying an emphatic 5-1 win over Leeds United in that time.
The visitors are still without Stuart Holden and Marc Tierney through injury, but Mark Davies and Joe Mason could return to the side.
