Huddersfield Town manager Chris Powell has described loanee Grant Holt as a "focal point" in his team and also expressed his desire to extend the striker's stay with the Terriers.
Holt, 33, is on loan at Huddersfield from fellow Championship side Wigan Athletic until November 8.
In the four games in which he has featured, Huddersfield have won three and drawn one to move away from the drop zone, and Powell is hopeful that they can retain his services for longer than currently scheduled.
"He has certainly made an impact," Powell said after yesterday's 4-2 victory over Blackpool. "He is doing exactly what I wanted him to do.
"He is enjoying his football and training well and he has certainly made an impact for the team, squad and supporters."
Powell added: "I hope something could be organised and sorted out. He is a focal point for the team and long may it continue."
Holt joined Wigan from Norwich City last summer, but only made nine starts for the Latics before he was sent on loan to Aston Villa in the Premier League.
