Hull City midfielder David Meyler has been ruled out for eight weeks with knee ligament damage.
The 28-year-old suffered the injury after colliding with his Republic of Ireland teammate Marc Wilson during a training session ahead of Friday's Euro 2016 playoff first leg against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
A statement on Hull's official website read: "David Meyler faces a spell on the sidelines after an MRI scan revealed the Republic of Ireland international suffered a grade two tear of his medial ligament in his right knee.
"The club's medical staff have estimated that the injury will keep Meyler out of action for up to eight weeks."
The Tigers currently lead the way at the top of the Championship table, level on points with second-placed Brighton & Hove Albion after 16 games.
