Hull City midfielder Sam Clucas has said that he is still waiting for the club's promotion to the Premier League to sink in.
On Saturday evening, Hull edged out Sheffield Wednesday to regain their place in the top flight just 12 months after suffering relegation.
Clucas made 44 appearances during the the regular season and playoff campaign and he has hailed the Tigers' success as a "fantastic achievement".
The 25-year-old told the club's official website: "It's unbelievable and it hasn't quite sunk in yet – I don't think it will for a few weeks. It's a fantastic achievement, not only for myself but for all of the boys here – they all deserve it. The fans deserve it and all of the people behind the scenes deserve it as well.
"This has been a real team effort and the spirit has been there all the way through the season. We were aiming for automatic promotion and unfortunately we didn't make it. But we were always confident from that point onwards that we could do it through the playoffs.
"The feeling I had after the game on Saturday and during the celebrations in the changing room is something that will never leave me."
Clucas was competing in his first year in the second tier of English football after joining Hull from Chesterfield last summer.
