Stoke City manager Mark Hughes was full of praise for his side's performance in beating Hull City today.
Stoke picked up the win at the KC Stadium thanks to a Peter Crouch header just one minute after he came on as a substitute.
"The most ambitious team won the game," Hughes told BBC Sport. "Hull just came to frustrate us, and their game plan was to come away with a clean sheet if they could. Once we scored they had to come out more but saw it out to win the game."
Crouch's winner was controversial, though, with doubts over whether the striker was offside when he scored.
"I think he is level - Steve's [Bruce] lad Alex Bruce is playing Peter onside," Hughes added. "I don't think Steve can have any complaints about who won the game."
Stoke face under-performing Everton at home on Wednesday in their next Premier League game.
