Hull City manager Steve Bruce has declared his interest in Nantes striker Filip Djordjevic.
The 26-year-old, who is in the final year of his contract, has scored eight goals in the French top flight this season, helping the newly-promoted club into sixth place after 14 games.
"It's something we're looking at," the Hull Daily Mail quotes Bruce as saying. "He's someone on our list.
"We'll always try and improve. The difference in January is can you find anybody out there who will make you significantly better?
"I think that's the key to it. It's not just about spending money, you need to find somebody who can make a difference."
Crystal Palace are also believed to be interested in the Serbian international, while Lyon are reported to have failed with a £3.5m bid in the summer.
