Hull City are reportedly in talks with Newcastle United over a potential loan move for midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa.
The 27-year-old, who is said to have rejected an approach from Championship side Birmingham City earlier today, could now be handed a Premier League lifeline by the Tigers.
Sky Sports News claims that Hull have "made contact" with Newcastle over a potential deal, with time ticking down towards the 11pm transfer deadline.
Ben Arfa has yet to feature for the Magpies so far this season having fallen out of favour under manager Alan Pardew.
