Wigan Athletic have confirmed the signing of Hull City defender Harry Maguire on loan until March 17.
The 21-year-old moved to Hull from Sheffield United in the summer, but he has managed just five appearances in all competitions for the Tigers so far this season.
Maguire has been brought to the DW Stadium as a replacement for Liam Ridgewell, who is leaving the club later this week following the end of his short-term loan from Portland Timbers.
"He's a powerful player with a lot of experience for his age and he fits the profile of the players we want to bring in: young, hungry and desperate to play," Wigan boss Malky Mackay told the club's official website.
Wigan are currently in 23rd place in the Championship table, seven points adrift of safety.
They return to action tomorrow night against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
