Nottingham Forest are reportedly close to completing the signing of Hull City defender Jack Hobbs on a one-year loan deal.
The Tigers are expected to strengthen their squad following their promotion to the Premier League and Hobbs could be allowed to leave to make way for summer recruits.
Forest are in the market for a centre-back, but their two attempts to re-sign Wes Morgan from Leicester City have failed, leaving manager Billy Davies to search for alternative options.
Sky Sports News reports that 24-year-old Hobbs is now a target of the Reds and could join them in a temporary switch for the 2013-14 season.
Hobbs, who has previously played for Forest's regional rivals Leicester City, made 22 Championship appearances for Hull last term.
