Hungary book their place at the finals of Euro 2016 in France next summer with a comfortable 2-1 victory over Norway in the second leg of their playoff clash.

Tamas Priskin's first-half strike and an own goal from Markus Henriksen ensured that Hungary sealed their place at the finals of Euro 2016 as they beat Norway 2-1 in the second leg of their playoff clash this evening.

Hungary were the first side to threaten on a tense evening, when skipper Balazs Dzsudzsak forced Norway keeper Orjan Nyland into a smart save in the opening minutes following a drive from range.

The home side found an opener not too long after, as Tamas Kadar sent a speculative ball into a channel for Priskin to chase, leaving the striker to produce a standout turn before rifling a memorable shot into the top corner of the Norway goal.

The visitors might have pulled themselves back into the game after finding themselves two behind on aggregate, but Even Hovland could only head against the crossbar from Martin Odegaard's corner on the stroke of half time.

Norway were presented with another good chance after the interval, only for Alexander Tettey to head wide of the target having been picked out by a cross from Pal Andre Helland.

Hungary were determined to kill the game off and they almost did with style, but Dzsudzsak saw his effort from distance skim off the crossbar with Nyland beaten.

The miss was not to prove too important, though, given that Norway's Henriksen turned the ball into his own net seven minutes from time to make it 2-0.

Norway did hit back through Henriksen just a few minutes later, but it was too little too late from the striker as Hungary came away with a 3-1 win on aggregate.
